Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions outline the agreement between PL Pest Control Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“the client”, “your”) for the provision of pest control services.

Please read these terms carefully before requesting or accepting services from PL Pest Control Ltd. By proceeding with a booking, either verbally, electronically or in writing, you confirm acceptance of these terms.

1. Company Information

PL Pest Control Ltd is a pest control service provider based in the United Kingdom. We serve both domestic and commercial clients. Our services are carried out by trained professionals in accordance with industry standards and UK legislation.

2. Services Provided

We offer pest control and prevention services, including but not limited to treatments for rodents, insects, birds, and wildlife. Service details, visit frequency, and treatment specifics will be confirmed prior to commencement.

Services may include:

  • On-site inspection and pest identification

  • Application of pesticides/rodenticides

  • Installation of monitoring or prevention equipment

  • Written treatment reports and follow-up recommendations

3. Booking and Confirmation

Once an enquiry is made, we will discuss your requirements, assess the situation, and confirm pricing. Services will be confirmed via phone, email, or in writing (as required), and your verbal or written agreement forms a binding contract.

For commercial contracts, a service agreement may be issued outlining the terms, duration, and schedule.

4. Client Responsibilities

As the client, you agree to:

  • Provide full and accurate information regarding the pest issue

  • Ensure safe and unhindered access to the premises

  • Follow all preparation and aftercare instructions

  • Avoid tampering with any treatment equipment or bait

  • Notify us of any pets, health conditions, or risks relevant to treatment

  • Arrange timely payment as per agreed terms

Failure to follow these responsibilities may impact treatment effectiveness and void any guarantees.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are confirmed before the start of service. Payment is required:

  • At the time of service (for one-off treatments), or

  • As per agreed commercial terms (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually)

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash, credit/debit card. BACS details available on request.

Prices may vary based on pest type, treatment scale, and location.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • You may cancel or reschedule an appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee of £35.

  • If we arrive on-site and you cancel before work begins, 75% of the service fee is payable.

  • If work has already started, 100% of the fee is payable.

If we are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. severe weather, technician illness), we will reschedule at your convenience or offer a full refund.

7. Liability and Warranties

We carry public liability insurance for the work we undertake.

We shall not be held responsible for:

  • Damage caused by pests prior to our treatment

  • Indirect or consequential loss, including business disruption

  • Failure to fully eradicate pests due to lack of access, reinfestation, or untreated neighbouring sources

We warrant that our technicians apply treatments with due care and in line with industry best practices. Some treatments may require multiple visits and full client cooperation for effectiveness.

8. Health and Safety

Our products are approved for use under UK regulations. You agree to:

  • Vacate treated areas for the advised time

  • Keep children and pets away from bait or treated surfaces

  • Follow post-treatment instructions (e.g. no cleaning for 48 hours)

We reserve the right to refuse or suspend treatment if the environment is unsafe (e.g. unboarded lofts, high-risk access areas).

9. Termination of Contract

We reserve the right to terminate services if:

  • Payment terms are not met

  • Access is consistently denied

  • Our technicians are subjected to unsafe conditions or abuse

  • You breach these terms in any material way

For commercial contracts: early termination within a fixed-term agreement may result in partial charge of remaining fees (up to 50%).

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law. We only collect information necessary for service delivery and legal compliance.

11. Complaints

We strive for high standards. If you’re unhappy with our service:

  1. Contact us directly via phone or email to raise your concern

  2. If unresolved, a manager or director will review the matter within 14 days

  3. You may escalate to a relevant authority (e.g. BPCA, Trading Standards) if needed

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to provide services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, strikes, public emergencies, or supply shortages.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any changes.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
